ABOUT
Chess Graville is an Set Designer and Set Assistant based in London and working internationally. She works across multiple forms of Set Design from Concerts to Photoshoots, Installations and Events. Her main interests are creating work in unconventional spaces, constantly looking to explore the world of design in order to captivate the audience and take them to another world.
After graduating from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama studying BA (Hons) Design for Performance, she went straight on to assist at The Garrick on the West End. Since, she has worked for venues across the world from the Californian Desert at Coachella to Luxury Fashion Events on the shores of Mykonos.
During June 2023, Chess was the lead member of a design team that was one of 12 internationally selected teams invited to present their ‘Uncommon’ Speculative Design of an Opera called The Nose by Dmitri Shostakovich at the Prague Quadrennial 2023 inside The Prague National Gallery. She was also a part of the UK Exhibition production team.
